Math is more than just good grades.
Having 3 school-aged children helped me realise that NZ math education in schools lacks the most important part - it does not show children how beautiful and exciting mathematics can be. It does not teach them thinking and problem-solving.
That's why I started to lead the math club. At the weekly lessons I introduce kids to concepts from different parts of mathematics that are not commonly taught in schools.
Examples of topics covered - Graph theory, Binary representation of numbers, Formal logic, Lobachevsky geometry and so much more.
